01 The difference between air filter and air conditioning filter

Air-conditioning filters filter the impurities, tiny particles, pollen, bacteria, industrial exhaust gas and dust contained in the air entering the cabin from the outside to improve the cleanliness of the air and prevent these substances from entering the air-conditioning system and destroying the air-conditioning system. To provide a good air environment for the occupants in the car, and to prevent the glass from fogging.
02 Air filter
Location: Open the front hood of the vehicle, usually facing the right side of the engine, as long as you use a screwdriver to open the fixing screw on the air filter box, you can see the air filter element.
Replacement cycle: Under normal circumstances, the vehicle should be replaced once every six months after driving for 10,000 kilometers. It is best to replace it every three months when the vehicle is used in severe fog or catkins.
The hazards of not replacing it in time: If the replacement cycle is exceeded, the filtering performance of the air filter element will deteriorate, and the particulate pollutants in the air will directly enter the cylinder, which will easily produce carbon deposits, resulting in a decrease in power and an increase in fuel consumption. This will shorten the life of the engine for a long time.
Air filter cleaning method:
1. Clean the filter by yourself
Open the front cover, there will be a black square or rectangular box. Then there is a big snorkel connected to the throttle. Some of them are screws and some are press buckles. It can be easily opened and taken out. For general cleaning, just blow off the dust. If it is too dark or permanent, it is recommended to replace it and install it again. When installing the air filter, blow the inside first.
2. Regularly clean the air filter or replace the filter element
Automobile engines are very precise parts, and very small impurities can damage the engine. Therefore, before the air enters the cylinder, it must pass through the fine filtering of the air filter before it can enter the cylinder. The air filter is the patron saint of the engine, and the quality of the air filter is related to the life of the engine.
If a dirty air filter is used during driving, the engine air intake will be insufficient and the fuel will burn incompletely, resulting in unstable engine workload, decreased power, and increased fuel consumption. Therefore, the car must keep the air filter clean.
Under normal road conditions, the air filter must be cleaned and maintained when the car travels 7500-8000km. The maintenance interval should be shortened correspondingly in areas with high levels of sand and dust.
03 Air conditioning filter
Location: Open the storage box of the co-pilot of the vehicle and remove the baffle to find the air-conditioning filter.
Replacement cycle: Under normal circumstances, it is recommended to replace it once every six months. It can also be determined according to the external environment of the driving. If the environment is relatively humid or haze is high, the replacement cycle can be appropriately shortened.
The hazard of not replacing it in time: If the replacement cycle is exceeded, the air-conditioning filter will lose its filtering effect by adsorbing a large amount of impurities, and the accumulation and multiplication of bacteria will seriously affect the health of passengers in the car.
Air conditioning filter cleaning method:
If the filter is very dirty, use compressed air to clean it from the bottom up. Keep the air gun and filter 5cm, and blow at 500KPa for about 2 minutes. If the cleaning effect cannot be achieved, please ask the dealer for cleaning.
