Oil filter

There is no doubt that the oil filter is the most important filter on the car, also known as the “kidney of the engine”. The main function of oil is to filter most of the impurities in the oil, to keep the oil clean and prolong the service life of the engine.油滤结构

When the engine works, the metal debris produced on the friction surface of the parts, the dust in the atmosphere, and the carbon particles produced by incomplete combustion of the fuel will infiltrate into the oil. The oil itself will also produce colloidal precipitates due to thermal oxidation, and these impurities will be mixed in the oil. If such dirty oil is sent directly to the surface of the moving parts, the mechanical impurities in the oil will become abrasives, accelerate the wear of the parts, and cause the blockage of the oil passage and the cementation of the piston rings, valves and other parts. Therefore, an oil filter must be installed in the lubrication system so that the circulating oil can be purified before being sent to the surface of moving parts. There are generally three kinds of filters in engine lubrication system. The first is the oil filter, installed before the oil pump, to prevent large particles from entering the oil pump, but also to prevent early wear and tear of the oil pump; the second is the oil filter, which is used to filter out the impurities with larger particle size (diameter is 0.05-0.1 mm or more) in the oil. It has less resistance to the flow of oil, generally connected in series between the oil pump and the main oil channel, and belongs to the full-flow filter. Device. We usually replace the machine filter, that is, the oil crude filter; the third is the oil fine filter, which is used to remove small impurities with a diameter of more than 0.001 mm. Because this filter has greater resistance to the flow of oil, it is mostly made into a shunt type, that is, parallel with the main oil channel, with only a small amount of oil flowing through the fine filter. Generally, it is only equipped with large diesel engines, but not on cars. Most of them are centrifugal filters.

In maintenance, the oil filter is sealed in the oil pan, usually without special maintenance; the oil filter is what we often call the oil filter, which should be replaced every time the oil is replaced; the oil filter is usually cleaned up in the second maintenance.

Gasoline filter

Gasoline filter is a kind of filter device connected in series in the fuel supply pipeline of the fuel supply system of gasoline engine, which is used to filter gasoline and keep it clean to meet the needs of the engine. Its function is to filter out impurities and water contained in gasoline.

Gasoline filter belongs to fragile and wearable parts. In terms of replacement, manufacturers of different brands have different regulations, but usually change vehicles every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers.

It should be noted that the gasoline filter is directional, and can not be installed in reverse, otherwise the engine will not start; and the gasoline is extremely flammable, and fire prevention should be paid attention to when replacing.

Diesel filter

Diesel oil filters are the same as gasoline filters in that they filter out impurities and moisture in fuel. The difference is that there are two diesel filters. The first one is the combination of the crude diesel filter and the oil-water separator, which can separate the moisture from the diesel oil and preliminarily filter the impurities in the diesel oil. The second one is the fine diesel filter, which can filter out the tiny impurities in the diesel oil and make the diesel oil cleaner.

For the maintenance cycle of diesel filters, it is generally required to discharge water every 3000 km oil-water separator, replace crude fuel filters for 10000 km, and replace fine diesel filters for 30000 km. If the environment is bad or the quality of diesel oil is poor, the replacement period should be shortened accordingly.

Air filter

The engine sucks in a lot of air during its working process. If the air is not filtered, the suspended dust in the air is sucked into the cylinder, which will accelerate the wear of the piston set and the cylinder. Large particles entering between piston and cylinder will cause serious “cylinder pulling” phenomenon, which is particularly serious in dry and sandy working environment. The air filter is installed in front of the throttle valve, which plays the role of filtering dust and sand in the air, and ensures that the cylinder enters sufficient and clean air. Therefore, the air filter, like the engine gas mask, will isolate the harmful substances of the engine and make the engine breathe cleaner.

Air conditioning filter

When a car is running with air conditioning, it is necessary to breathe in external air into the car, but the air contains dust, pollen, harmful gases and so on. If these substances enter the car, not only will the car air conditioning be polluted, the cooling system performance be reduced, but also will damage people’s health. High quality air filters can absorb dust particles and protect the health of passengers in the car. Therefore, air conditioning filters are the guardian of the air in the car.
